The biggest Fiesta in the City of Socorro history to celebrate it’s the 165th Anniversary! WAS A HIT! We had three days of Music, Food, Dancing and the three biggest Fireworks Display in the City of Socorro’s History! The Consul General of Mexico was the featured guest along with Charros and the Escaramuza Juvenil and Reinas de Crebol. Live bands from all over the Southwest including Everyday People, Phat Soul and Los Allegres del Valle put on great shows. On Friday we had bands from our own schools showcasing the Youth of the Valley. This years the Anniversary landed on the 151st Anniversary of “Cinco de Mayo,” so on Sunday we enjoyed “Noche Mexicana” and the Consul General of Mexico delivered a message on the Battle of Puebla along with Matachines, and even some of the area’s best Jazz Musicians. We celebrated with a firework specticle to LIVE Mariachi! Once again IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE IN SOCORRO! How about a FREE RIDE TO SCHOOL! This is the first-look at The City of Socorro’s Newest Park
